Thanks for sharing! -
I realize that they are called "winter pansies" but I was wondering if they could be grown keeping in mind all of the other steps perhaps indirectly under a heat lamp and UVB light light strip(for my tortoise to eat)

A hanging basket for the kitchen in winter. Sunny window.

So you don't seal them in the dark? I just got pansy seeds and I've been searching all over the place on the best way to grow them and I've read somewhere that they don't need light to grow and that it should be cold weather. Which is which? One thing that's consistent, though. Pansies are hard to grow esp from seed.

Sean,
I am tired and not really thinking straight but are you doing these for indoor plants? My harse winters would kill them. I want to start them in the end of winter so I have some great color come springtime.
