This is really nice. I had started trying to grow some home plants early this year. After trying some of those "seed starters", I gave up on that idea, and just made some raised beds. I dont think I have them deep enough for onions though, because I planted some, and the largest one was maybe twice the size of a quarter. So far Ive been able to get the (small) tomatoes to go crazy, but tomatillos and the big tomatoes not so much.. strawberries seem to be flourishing, and my watermelon/pumpkin plants are going nuts, but no fruit on them, despite all the flowering they do.
Your channel looks amazing. I think itll be just what I need :) -
People should really call them long night and short night plants because flowering has to do with the amount of uninterrupted darkness and nothing else. Source: My Biology Textbook.

It's called a dibber or dibbler (depends on what part of the country you're in). It's great for planting bulbs too.
-
Yes, you should pull them apart. Each bulb will grow a new group of bulbs. Think of it like pulling apart cloves of garlic to plant.
-
I bought shallots from a local nursery. Do I seperate them or do I plant the whole bunch together. If I seperate them will I harm them since I have to pull apart the roots?
