Very interesting video. I never knew it was so easy to grow garlic. This Italian LOVES and uses plenty of it. On my way to get some fertilizer and going to use the cloves in my fridge to plant. Thank you.

OH NO GARY! I just discovered you are using Miricle Grow soil! and you EAT THAT? You Do know it is NOT organic, right? May I suggest a better option, like Dr Earth (w/ mycorrhizae) or Garden bloom organic potting soil. Please do NOt eat miricle grow. I still love your videos, but this is not a good thing to do.

Is garlic like store-bought potatoes (sprayed to prevent growth) or will it grow OK if planted?
-
How often do you water the garlic

Gary, thank you for your videos. They are very helpful for those of us who are ignorant about how to garden successfully! I am in zone 7b but we get very little rain/snow. Is it necessary to water while the garlic overwinters? I got my bulbs from Seeds of Change and plan to plant them today according to your instructions. Thank you!

Garlic in Feb/March appreciate a high potash feed at that time, as this will cause the bulb to bulk up. In fact Garlic need frost to form a good bulb size because if the winter is mild the garlic will spend its time on growing on top instead of growing below. No frosts results in smaller bulbs.

What are the seedlings coming up behind the garlic container?

I remember you planted tomatoes in the mid summer month in the same type of pot. Just wondering if you amend that soil after use or just dump it in the grass?
