Growing mint in containers - spearmint/peppermint, apple and orange mint
Tips, Tricks
I am trying to grow my own tea this year. The main herb I am growing for this is mint! Mint is quite invasive, so even if you have space in ground, you may want to grow in containers. So far I have orange mint, apple mint and spearmint or peppermint. In addition to what I have, I hope to get lemon verbana or lemon balm, and maybe chocolate mint.

Lemon balm and lemon verbena are different- lem verbena stronger lemon smell- bee balm will give you nice flowers and grows fat- use a five gallon with the balm, but a plant labeled as (bee balm) I had a lemon balm someone gave me, I like my bee balm healthier🌞 and there are a few verbena types out there, not!!! What you want find and save the life of a lemon verbena at the nursery put in 1-5 gollan and it will be the most lemony plant you have ever smelled- and feed a strong dry food once a month

+candy smith Yes! I've had tomato horn worms - but on my tomato plant. I have a video of it in fact. In my case I only had 1, so I pulled it off. It was ginormous and really nasty!! But if you have a lot of it, I bet you can use Bt to kill it off. It is organic and works like a charm for most caterpillars. Good luck and let me know if that works.

how do you keep tomato warms away..i had an lemon balm and an orange mint, and those things ate it. there like green caterpillars but they have this horn thing on top. how do i keep them away this time.

Do they like full Sun? Whole day? And did you ever notice how the leaves are larger when they come from the nursery
-
I have eaten them raw - they are good. I'm not sure how it would taste if you left it in your mouth for a long time...I would give it a try. Congratulations for quitting chew tabacco!
-
can you chew these leaves? i used to chew tobacco and my girlfriend convinced me to quiet so i would like something that can be chewed thanks
