Josephine Shanks, a member of The Garden Club of Houston, the Louisiana Society for Horticultural Research, the Society for Louisiana Irises, and the American Iris Society, shares some tips on successfully growing Louisiana Irises. The Garden Club of Houston, a member of The Garden Club of America, established its first Bulb Mart in 1942. Each fall, The Garden Club of Houston offers a wide variety of Louisiana Irises at its annual Bulb and Plant Mart.

Thank you. I have lovely irises planted by the previous homeowner but you have taught me they put them in the wrong spots! I will move them to better areas and take the potted ones out to put in the ground.
