I grow key (Mexican/Asian) limes in my South FL yard. Constant battle with 'greening' here, but did have excellent crops over the last couple of years. But, also had to cut down a couple of trees due to damage due to the 'greening'. I'm utilizing the UF services in the County on advice for the condition.

The author is excellent. The Bearss lime is not easy to grow in So. CA. They are especially prone to root damage from gophers and ground squirrels. I suspect they're making Mojitos underground. I grow three varieties; Bearss, Mexican ( Key) and Rangpur ( actually a sour mandarin). Leaf miners are a significant issue here. I use Spinosyd to control these beasties when the trees start to flush and about two weeks after. Sunlight is key. Any appreciable amount of shade will cause lots of green growth but minimal fruiting. I use granular 21-7-14 four times per year @ 1 lb per 1" of trunk diameter plus 4 oz Ironite in spring and fall. Water deeply but not too often. If fruiting is minimal I suggest going to a water soluble 10-52-10 in early spring every 10 days as a foliar. OK- I'm not an expert but with two Bearss trees I can make Cuba Libras for the entire city!
