Growing/Harvesting Fresh Ripe Goji Berries | Ancient Superfood!
Tips, Tricks
In this video Dan from http://www.PlantAbundance.com takes you along for a progress report of the Goji Berries he planted from rooted cuttings last spring. Now mature and with vines as long as 7 feet, the goji has proven thus far to be a great understory shrub and vining layer in a food forest design.

Love your vid!
Planted 125 goji plants about 2 months ago, they were slow to take, but then i gave them fish emulshion, which i made as well and,WOW the growth is impressive.I got the impression that because the are come from the Himalayas that they can survive and thrive without too much water and good ground.Where i live the soil is very good, but as i found they need a helping hand.Even though they are really a weed that has been cultivated by man.I grow Pro Kashi (Korean natural farming) I grow 100% organic, have a small worm farm, plants love it,but they all seem to love fish emulshine!! Grow organic people!!! Fertilizers are made from chemicals, made from petrochicals, you do not want this sh.t in your systems! they will be the death of us!!!
Anyone wants info feel free to drop me a post!

What area of the country do you live in?

Where did you get your first goji berry? Any recommendations? Lots of options when I search online. I could also try some local nurseries. You got me interested in growing this superfood.

I did not know about the leaves being edible. Thank you for the info. Off to go chew on some leaves!

Are those a particular variety of Goji?

My gojis finally produced the second year, but very late (mid-Oct) and very few berries that the birds scored before I could taste them. Could you describe your soil pH, fertilizer, etc.. My plants grow easily but not productively. Thanks for any advice and thanks for your videos.

There's no such thing as an evil plant.I love them all, even the poison oak and poison ivy are beautiful to me.I used them on my worse enemy....;))))

I've had a goji bush for three years now and it still hasn't fruited. I must be doing something wrong, but it has grown very well as a plant - just no fruits! Thanks for the video.

That was a fine harvest and a good video Dan.

I would watch your use of the word "super food" it is a made up word by people trying to sell something . that said I enjoy your videos keep up the good work

Yes, I'd like to grow some of those!
-
They spread by root won't be able to get rid of it.

How extraordinary! Only known these in dry form in health food products. Never considered them something to propigate and eat fresh. Would love even a fraction of your plant knowledge.
