Growing Green Beans - How to Get Good Production
Tips, Tricks
My favorite variety of green beans is Strike. The are very productive, excellent tasting, and easy to grow. In this video, I'll talk about what I do to get them to produce so well. Here is how Susan cans green beans: http://youtu.be/iajHOJOW0Ec

That's a lot of beans! Awesome video. When dropping your seed with the earthway, do you plant Multiple rows per primary row or is all of that growth from a single row of beans per row? Just curious what your spacing is between plants in the same row as I don't want to overcrowd or cram them to the point of affecting yield

Legumes fix nitrogen after planting for many seasons in same place. otherwise, first time you need to inoculate with Rhizobium. If you do not inoculate, if you do not see root nodules, then Nitrogen fixation not happening. Inoculants are cheap starting at $1 on ebay.com. I was all excited, but my beans did not fix nitrogen without inoculant.

I wish that you kept making videos. watching your videos started me down a rabbit hole to commercial produce production. I eventually detoured from hydroponics and ventured into bio-intensive methods on a small commercial scale. If it wasn't for your gardening videos I don't think growing food for people would have ever captured my interest. Thus it's quite possible I wouldn't be where I am today. I still use my double barrel stove to heat my green house thanks to you.
It's November now and I have tomatoes starting to ripen as if we were still in July. The winter tomatoes are a great marketing tool and a successful product for me. I certainly appreciate your guidance in the beginning it has opened many doors. I hope we hear from you soon but until then thanks for the knowledge. -
