Growing Grapes, Papayas, & Figs in zone 6
Tips, Tricks
The grapes are filling out and will be ready to harvest later in the season. Papaya seedlings have sprouted from compost that was given to a Fig tree. With the Papaya seedlings, I will save some to pot and keep them inside during the winter months. In addition to the three main gardens, I have growing Swiss Chard, peas, cucumbers, potatoes, and tomatoes in a mini garden. Stay updated by following http://veganslivingofftheland.blogspot.com

Hi. I grow lemons, figs and grapes here in Denmark too (zone 7 i think). Well, the plants anyway. Not much fruit yet.
In some parts of Europe, the lay the figs down in a hole with boards on top during the winter. Some of the roots still in place. Its hard on them. But better than a frosty winter.
My dream is to grow orange, banana and avocado.
