Am planting broad beans tomorrow as a soil builder and for eating. Am also going to try under sowing with winter radish to break up the subsoil.

Hi I'm in Northern California 9B too. I'm looking at planting the Fava beans after watching your video. When you say location, what's the best location ? Also what's the best type of soil that I should use? And where did you get your seeds?
-
Hello, thank you putting this excellent informational video. What is the best place to get the seeds?
Thanks,Padhu -
Beans are also in the Fabaceae, it is the family that includes all peas and beans

The dry seeds may be soaked in water, take off the skin, and separate in two parts, and remove the water with a cloth or paper towels and fry in oil. With salt is a great appetizer.
The green shells of beans can also be used, taking off the side wire, cut lengthwise 3/4 parts. Scald with boiling water, drain and cook in salted water. Then in a skillet, put olive oil, garlic and a spoon of vinager. After the garlic is soft, put the shells of the fava, coriander, and half a spoon of flower (or not) salt and peper. As i speak portuguese i hope have translated well the recipe, that only can be made if the fava beans are organic. -
excellent. I mixed up beans in my inoculant and planted them everywhere in my garden. Seeing a unfamiliar plant growing for the first time, I was unsure what type it was. Now I know it's fava thanks! excellent video
