Growing Cucumbers & Tomatoes in Containers
Tips, Tricks
Anyone with access to sunlight can grow food plants in containers. The more space you have and the bigger the container, the larger the plant can be. This video shows what can be possible growing cucumbers and tomatoes in large planters. Locations get several hours of direct sun every day, but not all varieties of vegetables and fruits need this. I only grow heirloom, non-GMO varieties organically. Heirlooms are older varieties that commercial growers no longer plant because they do not hold up well to shipping, may not be as cosmetically perfect or productive as modern varieties. But heirlooms picked when ripe cannot be beat for flavor and tenderness. These Space Master cucumbers and Black Krim and Purple Cherokee tomatoes are prime examples of what commercial farmers have had to give up.

Wicked good. You have beautiful gardens. And I'm quite envious of your lack of garden pests.
