I have larger pines that have growth over a roadway. They obscure the vision of some drivers. I would like to prune the overhanging branches but according to your video I would have to go back to the trunk? This would leave some large road-facing bare spots that would look unsightly to say the least. What do you suggest? May I cut the branches just back to the roadway or is it truly best practices to cut the large branches back to the trunk? Thanks.
