Hi P Allen Smith...Thanx for this video! Happy Gardening!..:-)

I live in Wisconsin and it is below 10 or 20 sometimes in winter, will it tolerate this temp? I planted in the whisky barrel last year and dug it out before winter, and then stored in the basement, spring is here, so I don't know if I should plant it in the ground or put it in the whisky barrel again.

I dig my cannas up in November and store them in paper bags down my cellar for the winter. Then plant them in MAY or June. I live in RI Am I doing the right thing? I would like to keep them in the ground but I've always done them this way. Is it good to plant them together in a row like you did I like that?

WHAT IS THE NAMES OF THE PURPLE LEAF TYPES THNX
-
correction for below...they are the Red King Humbert the tall variety...I also bought the pink Wyoming...and a yellow-orange type....they are so slow growing...usually Cannas grow really fast...I don't know what's wrong

I ordered King Hubert Cannas from a online company in Apr, they were trying to sprout in the bag...I planted them last month and are coming up so slowly but they don't get full sun all day, and also the soil surrounding my house is full of clay...is that really bad for my plants?...and last, I bought Irises in pots last summer, I replanted them early this spring, about 6 varieties, I have lots of foliage but only one bloomed, it's a little frustrating...what should I do?...I love flowers

I am growing the red leaf variety in a pot right now. We started them this past spring and moved them inside with the cold weather. Still growing strong.
