Growing bush beans in containers: Part 1
Tips, Tricks
I'm growing some bush beans in containers, four to be exact. They are pretty fast to grow, so I'll be looking forward to harvesting some beans from the garden.

how deep is the pot?

What kind of potting mix did you use for growing beans?

Thanks for the video. I planted some bush beans in containers today. I'll be watching your progress.

They look real good! I look forward to your update on how they do.

That's what I had to do. Unfortunately my bean seed was terrible and none of the bush germinated and only about 50% of the pole. I am hardening off the summer starts now and will be transplanting them soon. My guess is that the container grown plants if kept moist and a bit of fertilizer is given can get 3 to 4 feet each. But leaves will probably be smaller than plants in the ground and bean pods will likely be a bit smaller too. It will be interesting to see I could be totally wrong. -Mark

Nice germination rate - it'll be fun watching them grow.

I started some beans in my community garden but something ate it. I'll have to start some indoors and transplant them when they are little bit stronger. I would like to compare container versus in-ground. Of course in ground is going to be a lot bigger, but I just want to see by how much.

I look forward to watching your updates. I am guessing that there isn't enough root space for 4 beans so they will be smaller plants. But they could surprise me and end up monsters taking over your house.

Very nice - I have a feeling that these beans will grow rather quickly. Happy gardening to you too!

Yes, this is my first year too! I think it should work, but we shall see. I don't know how big they are going to get so I'm looking forward to their progress.

My bush beans are finally starting to size up! Happy Gardening!
