We saw an Ad selling cold hardy banana Herb (Plant) two years ago, thought why not try to get one to grow in a cool Farm House in Minnesota.....Trying to bring a little tropical weather north but over all just a fun idea....Check it out, it really grew=)

Cheers ... I'll try in the UK... though sophisticated gardeners in London have succeeded in growing All types of exotic trees in the front/back garden. English gardens are far more trendy since the better weather era i.e. avocado trees & banana can be seen frequently & 'wooly/hairy palms are common place but I've never seen the transition to fruit.
So its about the great look.
It's currently November & sunny in London.

I have palm trees I'm going to get a banana tree we live in zone 6 we planted them with no protection right now it's 3 feet tall doing very well it is very cold some leaves died and fell of but regrowed in the spring producing a little bit of fruit🍊 we will soon buy a banana tree I can't wait!😎 soon 🌴🌱=🍌🍊🍓🍅🍇🍉🍍🍒🍑🍈🍋🍐🍎🍏 we will have a big party!!🎂🎁🎊🎉wooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😃

3 gallons of water a day?? R u serious?? Mayb a fortnight, as banana tree does not like wet feet it needs good drainage

how did you know how much water it needed? I'm a novice gardener willing to learn :)

Hi, it looks like you have your plant in two pots (one inside another) ? If so, why? We have a plant outdoors and a lot of windy days. It keeps blowing over ugh. thanks

Thanks for the time spent making this video. Very informative. I have a musa growing hydroponically. I can't bring it indoors for the winter because of space. Do you know how I can winterize it till spring. Take note the the roots are dirt free from growing in nutrient solution. It's about 4ft tall and the roots are over 2ft long.

This looks great! I usually run into the problem of sufficient sunlight though. Have you considered a grow light? It would add the photosynthetic support and allow the option of new and interesting plants. I've messed with grow lights for a while now but prefer the Aspect (www.soltechsolutionsllc.com/aspect).

I just planted an ornamental banana tree, (Musa zebrina), in my front flower bed, and it's about two and a half feet tall. I'm in Fort Worth Texas, and I've never tried to plant and grow anything ever. Your video was really cool, I enjoyed it.
