what kind of kale is the best for juicing? There are different kinds, which one has the most benefits and will really give me that punch our bodies deserve? looking forward to growing and juicing. tired of buying grocery store produce.

I grow Scotish kale and yes always grow more than I need, so I dehydrate them and make Kale chips. If you like kale you will LOVE, COLLARD GREENS a native to the SE USA.

Why and I guess... how, was the bed so empty and yet nothing else was growing (like weeds)? It didn't look like you had a lot of mulch but just a lot of nice compost on the ground. Usually when I watch gardening/permaculture videos, everything is planted with a lot of mulch to retain moisture, or there's companion planting with a ground cover crop that stays low to the ground to keep the soil shaded. Why not here?

What gorgeous soil! I must admit kale is pretty much bulletproof - mine self seeds from year to year but I still save seeds. I have way too many! Now if I could only keep on top of the caterpillars.......!
