Took me forever to find plants in Canada, but this is my first planting and they are about 2 ft high now. They are native to US and are related to the sunflower, but are called CHOKES.

Wonderful eating on those! Note bene: they're not artichokes, which grow very differently, but are a North American cousin of the sunflower.
