Grow MORE Zucchini: Pruning and Roots- Update 3
Tips, Tricks
Grow MORE Zucchini! In Update 3, We are on the balcony looking at the update on the zucchini plants. We have Lots of Zucchini starting to grow, and were looking to prune and top soil to maximize the quality and yield of our plants! There is incredible speed from the growth of the roots, filling the entire soil bed and I think the organic sea weed extract is the reason! I think its interesting you want BIG ZUCCHINI?that would be all seeds- small are better . I was taught you pick those & the others in the middle will grow. the more you pick the more will grow not leave them for a large size ?

great video both technically and gardening-wise. Thanks.

I never prune off little zucchini. The plants grow so fast it really seems a waste to pull them off. I am the queen of zucchini growing! Good soil is all it takes. Easiest vegetable to grow.

Wait, you had 4 beauties that would have provided MORE if you had let all four mature rather than giving MORE to the larger three. I am only stating this because I tried YOUR method and mine. Mine provided more by letting nature take its course. 5 is the usual MAX from my Zuc's. I am trying to get more because I see and think that my plants want to GIVE more. After harvesting 5 full grown Zuc's how do i get the plant to produce more fruit?

Wow! Thank you SO much for posting this! I have SO many zucchini plants that are going nuts in our raised beds, and I had NO idea that I needed to "thin" the heard (so to speak!) Kept wondering why they were tiny....guess I'll be out there plucking away! Thanks again!

It's so hard to pluck off those babies so it really does help to get more successful harvest. Thank you for sharing!

I am so confused, this is my first year of growing zucchini. I have a lot of male blooms and only a few female. My question is will the female (small zucchini) mature on their own or will they die like the male blooms do? The female fruit don't look like their getting any larger. Do I need to pollinate them myself in order to get fruit? Thanks!

Hi. I just watched your video. Right now I have a zucchini plant, in the ground, with 4 of the baby zucchinis, like the ones you pruned. I'm growing my plants to sell the zucchini and want them to be fruitful. Should I let those 4 baby one grow or should I prune a couple off the plant? Do zucchinis continue to produce or does it all happen at once and if you prune you just lessen the crop? I'm hoping to get ten or more from each of my plants, is that reasonable or not a good idea?

Nice video, thanks. I have a question, do they need to pollinate the flower?

I wish I can grow flower like you ❤️

nice video dude. mine are exactly at the same stage and probably have to do the same thing . thanks btw

Excellent video. But I am confused as to why you would want larger zucchini? They taste much better when they are small and haven't had time to develop their seeds. Once the seeds grow, the zucchini becomes less sweet and tougher. I would much rather have 5 small ones than two or three big ones.
Your plants are very healthy looking. Kudos for taking care of your soil. -
I recommend that you get some testosterone shots to help you with your voice issues.

What's the best variety, if you're growing specifically for the squash blossoms?
-
how many did you end up with after breaking off the little ones?
