Grow More Food at Home: The Urban Gardening Series Part 1
Tips, Tricks
Introducing the Urban Gardening Series Today I wanted to introduce a new series in response to world events that are touching many homes here in Canada. The other day while shopping I saw a medium sized tomato with a price of 3$ each and a head of cauliflower over 10$. World events have led to fast and sharp increases in the cost of groceries. I hope through the Urban Gardening series that both new and experienced gardeners are able to have a successful growing season without having to invest a lot. Especially for new gardeners success helps you want to continue and garden into the future. Might pay to add a comment in your next clip , To look down your shopping list and grow what you already eat , many first time gardeners i find grow new and exotic foods they like the sound of , but don't consume as it's weird and exotic :-) Growing food that isn't consumed is a waste of time , space and production ... a trap many newbies fall into

best overall video, for beginners, some is outdated, but it gives perspective on possibilities.

Looking forward to seeing more of this series. My group of friends are more becoming aware that a community awareness towards gardening to not only save money but to also allow us to know where our foods are grown. I also would like to see more children involved with community grow programs to encourage generational growers. Local produce for local people. as a side note i would love to see more of your videos about peppers grown and maybe some thoughts towards the growing of indoor sprouts. Keep up the great work- from your manitoba based fans.

Very awesome. This is my 2nd year growing. I find my self needing reminders like this. I want to grow everything but need to keep in mind which zone I'm in. I started a journal as well. Very helpful when something happens and you want to remember it for later. Thanks!
