1. Hi, thanks for the wonderful videos with real precise information that makes them so ueful.  My 10 inch pots are only 10 in outer dimension and only 8 inch deep. You've had a lot of experience, that's clear. Could you say if I can still grow short carrots in them? 5 inch carrots?  Also, I guess that I might have to keep the pots out of the rain, till 6 weeks because there will be so much wetness in the pots that the seedlings cant use up?  I mean not sopping but nonetheless, always wet.  Do slugs like carrots ...   I have a lot of slugs.  Sorry for the number of questions. Once they start they dont stop, just like chiips.  Thanks again.
2. Hello Mr HGV, I have just recently come across your wonderful channel and I am addicted! Can you please answer a quick question about the 10 inch pots you use? I take it that they are 10 inches in diameter but what height are they? I was looking at 10 inch pots today but they were available in several different heights? Which height do you use? I want to grow carrots and other root veg so I want to be sure to have enough depth in the pot. Keep up the wonderful videos and love to Molly!

8. Really informative video, thank you. My carrots were sown nearly three weeks ago and are coming along nicely, planning on sowing some more at the weekend. Love to see your updates and progress, so helpful for a complete beginner like me!
9. I used your method with a grid in a huge pot and things are looking great. had to weed it a little from the sand having weed seeds somehow. Great assortment of ages for the video! That was a lot of work. :)

15. Hey, saw your other 10 inch pot carrot video, and went outside right away to copy your technique. So far I've gotten several sprouts, and excited to see how it goes. Thanks for this, I'm hoping for better results than I've gotten in the ground.

18. What are you using for soil in those pots ?
19. TO get quicker germination I have gently rubbed the carrot seed between two sheets of very fine sandpaper. This scarification process helps water to penetrate the seed and they seem to germinate quicker. I have also tried it with parsley which are notorious to germinate.
20. Looking good mate, had a crack at some carrots myself, bit cold over here, but will see what happens. Thanks for some great vids.
