I have one main vine with tons of flowers and no pumpkin yet. some flowers has a little a little pumpkin underneath. so I guess i have to manually pollinate it since it's now August here in NY.

So, if I'm getting this right; you actually have to cut off a male flower, and then basically fuck the female flowers with it so that they make pumpkins? Wow, I didn't know gardening was this full on!

So, the pumpkin feeds through a root system that the vines produce?, the pumpkin itself doesn`t produce roots ? I`m think of growing some in the back garden and any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Can you burry the main stem from where you planted the seed without any harm?

I have a pumpkin which I self pollinated. It has been getting larger but no it is about 1 1/2 diameter and about 5 inches long. Today I felt it and it feels like it's getting softer. Is this a normal process? Ty

What would be the cause of female blossoms not holding on to
the vine long enough to allow the blossom to open. I'm having a lot
of the female blossoms with the fruit turning yellow and falling off before the blossom can open. Out of four vines I have only one
punkin' that I was able to hand pollinate. -
