Clayton is talking high school beards and the concern a lot of young guys have about their beards and why they aren't fully developed by their teens. Part of your beard growth is genetic, and part of it is hormones. Be patient, young beardsmen! As guys, we often times don't see our beards fully develop and mature until our early to mid 20's. Clayton says that during his high school career, his beard was more sparse and he didn't grow his first beard until his early 20's. If you want to optimize your beard growth, look into vitamins like biotin that can help your hair (and skin) grow healthy, and maintain a balanced and healthy diet. Also take a look at your family tree - if your uncles and father and extended family have decent beards, there's a good chance your beard will come in nicely as you get older as well. Bottom line - embrace what you have and rock it with confidence, and just be patient!

i'm 18 a senior in highschool and my school doesn't care about facial hair its actually surprising to me that school made you shave like if it was job that's absurd, any way i can grow a full beard early on since 8th grade i can grow long sideburns and overtime i began to grow hair now in 12th grade i have a full beard about 2-3 inches and i'm really proud of it. I get many compliments on it and people of my peers say how jealous of it they are lmao

Recently turned 20, beard a bit patchy but that's ok, 4 months in and almost attached to chin hair, in fact this is the first time I've ever decided to grow a beard haha I used to shave the sucker off because I didn't think I had potential, I'm aiming for the Lumberjack look currently, and I'm aware it will take some time of course but to all those young bearded future men out there... BEARD ON!

I'm 16 and a brown person so we're naturally hairy. My moustace grows faster than the soul patch and chin hair is this normal? will this change?

I had a mustache since i was 12 now at this age (20) its thick and I had a goatee since 16-17 but at that time I kept shaving it off cause it looked ugly..but now for two years I just let it grow out..the hairs are still thin atm

I personally was able to grow a full beard at 18. However I didn't grow a full beard until I was 19.
I have been fully bearded ever since and I love it. It's so much easier than shaving, and looks great! -
I'm 13 and have a moustache and Some hairs on my chin . hoping for a beard soon
-
So you could grow a full beard at 20?

I'm 17 and every man on my fathers side has a full beard. Not sure about my moms side cuz all men on that side are clean shaven. My school is open minded. I have some good growth all over my face however it's still patchy as hell and there's no one section the hair grows specifically. It's like I got half my mustache half cheeks half chin, etc. I can't wait for my beard to come in full.

Freshman and I have full dark thick hairs in the chin and upper lip, and they're starting to connect. Jaw and cheeks aren't seeing as much but I'm only 14 so it's cool. Thanks for the advice
