I agree to a point. I used glyophosate to kill everything and then raked it all up. Would've taken me days to do it otherwise.

Yes it is, but save on all the mowing and fertilize ,does need a little watering once a few weeks

I LOVE CENTIPEDE GRASS, the lime green and thick lawn, it don' t get over 5" tall ! I don't even mow or fertilize it! It will breed out other grasses and weeds! Laugh at my neighbors having to mow every week and all i do is play in the water! Once a few weeks, I save on gas and all the wear and tear of mowing! SO if you live in TEXAS? TRY IT! I LOVE IT!

I live in Texas & want a grass I don't have to water a lot, moe verry little and don't mind it being low to the ground, something that will help prevent weeds( I don't have the $ or time to water & moe....but don't mind wating on it to be Established ( not fast growing) is ok... & not get into flower beds( where my Asian jasmin will grow) any ideas!!!????

centipede grass seed is very expensive. the stuff is $25 a pound. this lady failed to mention how many pounds needed for 1000 square feet.
