Ghana: Mango Farming

The Shai Osudoku district of the Greater Accra region has for decades been a very good mango-growing area supplying the domestic and foreign markets. However, the industry is threatened by the activities of fruit flies. The fruit flies attack and degrade the mango, reducing its market value. Although steps have been taken to deal with the situation, the problem still persists.
