I think she confused grapes and boysenberries. This technique will not work for any raspberry-like fruit because older canes do not produce fruit again and need to be cut off at the ground.

Sorry but she knows very little about the correct way to prune boysenberries. Anyone can read from a book but at the very least you should have the correct book.

i added a dislike because she is clearly reading instructions from a book about training grapevines, not boysenberries. boysenberries grow very very differently from grapes, i have both plants, and i know this both from reading books, and from personal experience. i dont know why she didnt find the correct book or chapter to read aloud from!
