Excuse me, but azaleas do NOT like a lot of sun. They do best on the north side of a house in the U.S. because of the fact they don't get much sun there.

what the hell with the anti-Russia propaganda. They are not fooling anyone, this is George Soros anti Russia BS. Now Nazis run Ukraine, this add is outrageous and total crap.
I came here to learn azaleas, not this propaganda.
And for the record, Russia intervention into Syria, SAVED that nation from total civil war. Turkey backed by the US supports ISIS, I would like to know who is paying for this propaganda on Youtube? -
Does anyone know if planting Azaleas in late October is too late?

Oh hai! Have you thought about - zrumplina diy aquaponics (google it)? Ive seen some unbelivable things about it and my mate grew cool flowers with it.

I have Azaleas growing in almost full shade. They have been there for years and have grown quite large. I don't even feed them with Azalea food anymore. However, I have seen Azaleas growing quite well in full sun, but I must agree with 2JobsStillPoorUSA, all the information I've ever read about Azaales says "shade". The same goes for Rhodendrons, which I have also seen growing beautifully in full son. .

Well, that's interesting. "Lots of full sun?" Uh.. every resource I have seen say that they are acid loving plants that like shade.

Good info, thanks. We have some azaleas at the side of our carport that have done well for many years, but they were there before we bought the house 15 yrs. ago. Now we're replacing some old shrubs under our kitchen windowsill that we pulled out several years ago. It's a little too barren-looking, and we're going to be listing our home for sale, and need the added curb appeal. We bought three azalea bushes that should do very nicely there, but I needed some info about planting. Great tips!
