Last year the squirrels got a taste for my tropical hibiscus leaves. They killed two plants. I've never had a problem with them eating hibiscus leaves before. I love hibiscus and may try again with some spices or something else. I agree I don't want to kill them but I wish something else would.

Everyone get you a Squirrel dog, about two of em...I have a rat terrier but he is getting old and not as feisty about catching them now. Im sure you will have alot of luck with a young energetic pet...Good Luck...

I tried store bought repellant (basicly chili & blood) it looked ugly on my raised bed or around planters and after a few weeks they started digging again... I guess i'm gonna have to go look for pellet gun and practice...by the way mouse trap did not work...They ate 5 my cyclamen bulbs. duh.
