Doesn't the foilage start burn beacuse of the water droplets (lens) and the bright sun ? They told me that you always have to water the roots only (when sun goes down). And never tough the leaves and flower with water. I'm sacred that i get mold this way. But i also live in a other climate. Holland, lot's of rain and humitity...(Got the advice from the BBC in England)
I also soak them very good only a couple of times a year. If you give more water at leas times, the roots will search for water down in the ground and not at the surface.
Ps: I buy a meter that can tell humidity and Ph without batteries. It costed around 3,50 euro / 4 dollars. Don't need it for my regular plants, but for beginners it's a good thing. Then they can look at the meter and feel/see the ground. This way you learn quickly to judge the condition the plant is in.
