Just wanted to give you a heads up that LSU purple is a variety that is known to take a couple years to really get their full flavor, but after a few years usually taste great.

I've got 3 fig trees here in the Hill Country at the NW edge of San Antonio. They are the easiest tree to grow and I don't even water them. I recommend you keep all your fruit trees short so you can reach the fruit without a big ladder. Just did a video on that.

I'm in Houston, too, and, I LOVE FIGS!
Have not found a source for fresh figs near my home in the Southeast, near Hobby Airport.
I will seriously come help you pick and dress them for a few bags in return.
Pls. LMK
Thanks!
