Thank you so much for providing information on these types of beans. I just seeded my trellis area just like yours and looking forward to eating them.
Any recipes you have to share I'd enjoy knowing more. -
Cooking in Microwave ovens destroy the nutrients in food.

I would like to know how long is your plot for your asparagus beans and how many bean seeds did you put in your plot? I saw your video when I was still in South Carolina but now moved to Houston and I made a asparagus being jealous and now they're dying its only been about 5 weeks! I probably planted them too close together!

Pengfixx: I agree. I grow them every year. Enough to share. - Peace, Mo

Thanks for the comment Scott. I would like to figure out an even better trellis system. Let me know if you figure one out. Happy gardening! - Peace, Mo

I like the trellis, very nice. I discovered Asparagus beans by accident. Was looking for Asparagus "seeds" and bought a pack of asparagus "beans" by mistake. Noticed the plant growing did not look right, and then realized my mistake. But what a great bean. Nice to pick a few so quickly for dinner.

thanks for the info... my asparagus bean started producing a week ago but up to this point i've been chasing this plant all over the place, but i especially like your trellising system, so off to work in the garden i go.

Thank you mo...I have a packet of asparagus beans and will plant them here in Georgia. Thanks for the idea of the trellis. I asked my husband to build one in our garden. I love your 'down to earth' style!

Hope your leg heals fast. A tip I learned from working in restaruants is to place a paper towel or small cloth in the plastic bag with the veggies to absorb moisture and they will stay longer in the frig. -Peace, Mo

Thanks. I harvest some beans and put the in the fridge, I hope that they don't rot since I broke my leg and can't get out of bed.

Nery: Thanks for your comment. May your garden grow & grow & grow & grow & grow....... & grow some more. All the best to you. Peace, Mo

You are right about the experimenting! Very true. Good luck on getting some beans this year.Thats great on the okra and peppers. Thanks and I hope I at least get a serving!

I'm not sure if it's too late to plant. This year the asparagus beans I planted did not get enough sun and they did not do well. I planted more seeds about 2 weeks ago in a different place. I hope they do better. When I'm not sure, I experiment and plant them several places in the garden to see where they do best. This year I have pepper plants enough to feed many neighbors, and okra plants-a-plenty too. Good luck. I hope you get a bumper crop of foot long beans. -Peace, Mo

I have started some the other day. Is this a full sun or better partially shaded plant? I hope it is not too late for me to try these. My seed package says for my zone april/july

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I have no idea what's the best way, but I hang them inside until they dry, then take them out of the pod. Happy Gardening. -Peace, Mo
