Here are some great tips from Mrs. LDSPrepper on how to greatly increase the success of your seed germination. She has almost 100% success with her seed germination. Her tips on how to use a BBQ skewer and burlap are amazing. I would have never thought of those. One thing she uses is the 4-Foot Jump Start T5 Grow Light System that she bought on Amazon. I planted some privet hedge seed about 20 in cups and kept them damp in potting mix in partial sun. Above 65 degrees at night. for 12 days...Not a fricking one came up...!!

Holla! Have you thought about - zrumplina diy aquaponics (should be on google have a look)? Ive seen some incredible things about it and my buddy grew great flowers with it.

Shouldn't the Grow Light be solar powered in the interest of being self sufficient especially with the price of electricity?

ugh hippies.. ive seen a dozen stratification videos and am suddenly annoyed by the hippies. I was born on earthday in ATX but these people are too hippy for me

@gileadbalm Great suggestions. I know she occasionally uses a seaweed mixture when watering.

great tips, try a fan from across the room blowing just enough air to just wiggle the plants, we also spritz lightly with a kelp mixture (usually used in hydroponics) and lower the lights to as close to the plants as we can. We get healthy starts that the nurserys can't compete with.....

@ProthoPectore You sound a lot like me. I always try to do it for less. I have done just as you outlined in the past. My wife doesn't throw away money but having it come in a kit worked for her on this project.

@FrontCortex I mentioned this to my wife. She is setting up aluminum around the plant boxes to reflex the light. She is going to use the aluminum foil insulation I used in my latest Faraday cage video. What are your thoughts?
