Gardening in September, Zone 6b, The River Garden, Harvest Red & Yellow Peppers + Tomatoes
Tips, Tricks
Finally, many of the peppers and tomatoes are ready for harvest at the river garden. As most of you know, I do not live there so I am unable to water and feed this garden on a regular basis. Feel free to join me for a quick walk in September and I will how you how it is doing. I'd like to show you some beautiful red bell peppers I started from seed (indoors) earlier in the year. This is my second visit to the garden this month. More information on California Poppies: https://plants.usda.gov/plantguide/pdf/pg_esca2.pdf

Nice peppers! You got a real nice harvest, congratulations. Too bad about the beetles though.

Hi Donna. Beautiful harvest and a nice variety. I am waiting for my green bean seeds to dry for keeping the seeds for next year. I notice that you picked your green beans that you can clearly see that the bean has matured. BUT I thought you were suppose to wait until the bean pod turns beige. My seem to be taking FOREVER and I would love to pull out the plants and clean up the trellis. What should I do?
