What I have found about gardenias...DO NOT water with tap water. I have found that using distilled water works best. Most tap water is not acidic enough for this plant, especially the indoor variety.

Hi- I put my potted Gardenia outside (it's May, bright consistent sunlight for the past weeks, and temperatures averaging around 65-67 degrees). Unfortunately, the leaves have started to yellow. I have been watering the plant every three to four days. I am wondering perhaps if it's my watering schedule? In another gardenia care video, the speaker said magnesium sulfate salt can help against the yellow leaves? I'd appreciate any advice, thank you!

I hope the one I just bought keeps blooming. It has one flower and some buds.
