Can you tell me why my spaghetti squash is all leaves and no flowers

Thanks for your squash bug video. Interesting.. Liked it very much. I'm growing spaghetti Squash vertically, but had a bug destroy half of it already. Can't tell what bug does damage like that. Want to give me advice? Gardeningfirstyear@youtube.com Growing Spagetti squash vertically& Bug Problums. Thank you

I garden strictly in containers, having Romas, Better Boys, and Green, Yellow and Red Bell Peppers....this is my first year with Zucchinis. I do not see eggs, but have seen what looks like beetles, 2 of them, dark gray/black. Thanks for your info. I think I will just try and go in there and squash them, pun intended.....don't want to have to use chemicals......zucs are doing VERY well. You turn around, and they're big! Thanks again!

Thanks I'll battle the bugs once again. :) When I grow up I want a garden as beautiful as yours :)

You just have a lot of eggs. Remove what you find and you probably should spray or dust your plants with insecticide of your choice; They are relentless bugs. Oh and it happens to all of us. Goal is to reduce the damage.

I've noticed a lot of little black eggs all over my squash plants and even on the squash. At this point is it to late to fight them? I would say they are eggs from a squash bug since I've seen them on the plants. This is my first year with a garden and if it's going to happen it's going to happen to me =) I'm in central Florida. Thanks, Karen

Thanks. I hope you get one.

Yes Sevin Dust will work. It is not organic. But I use it as to not go insane when nothing else works. The dust sprinkled in a targeted way will kill most anything. Around your Straw bale or on the edges will work. At the base of your plant. It will help you smile again.

I am Maryland zone 7.

Sevin Dust? I am encountering all kinds of different bugs here in NM and this is my first time Straw bale gardening.....the fire ants have decided to move into my garden ables. will Sevin dust get them to move out? will they (the ants) kill my plants? i had control of the bugs in VA but here in NM its a whole new set of rules. ....i feel like im loosing this battle. :(

I use what is on sale. Miracle Gro or similiar. Sometimes organic if the price is right. I am in Maryland.
-
OH btw, what is your location ? I am in central , TX .

Hi there, what kind of liquid fertilizer do you use? Thanks, Krittika
-
I havent encountered the melon worm moth. I hope to add a few more heirloom gourds to my garden. Thanks for the comment.

Beautiful plant. I'm a fan of growing pumpkins and gourds which are all in the cucurbit family. Squash bugs are a big problem in my area along with the melonworm moth that defoliates the plants. I love seeing the progress of these vines over the season though. So nice.

love how the plant is cascading into through the fence. Great vid. thanks for the info. :)

Its the squash bug and lays yellow eggs, its so gross! Have to get the seven liquid, that works the best, I did use the soap spray and that did get rid of the eggs but it ruins the leaves..sighing.. thanks, R
