Planted Strawberries here in northern Japan and over the winter they were buried under 3 feet of snow. A few days after the last of the snow melted, they were growing like crazy again!!

Beautiful gardens and awesome tips. We are in zone 5 mountains and want to start things under double cover outside...what of the plants you started would you recommend for very early start? And, would you start them indoors our out.

Can you post a list of the top 10 veggies that you know to be really frost tolerant? Im from TN and we have pretty mild winters till Jan/Feb. So I would like to grow some in the winter, just not sure what. Thanks!

Your variegated cauliflower is a 'sport' - a naturally occuring spontaneous mutation. It may or may not 'breed true'; in other words, the seeds from that plant may or may not yield plants that also exhibit the variegated trait. It would be interesting to see a follou-up video on that. Thanks!

Refuse 'smart meter' installation.

Luv your vids ma, but 'warming up your car'? After a few seconds, its fine to go ahead and put the car in gear - just drive slowly until the engine is 'warmed up' - but you would drive slowly anyway through the neighborhood streets, right??? By the time you get to major roads, the engine will be ready for higher speeds. You will have increased your MPG and reduced your car's emissions. Look it up. PS - keep the great vid comming!

Dude, you are awesome. I have bok choy and spinach coming out the yang thanks to your fantastic videos!

@will6659 thats great I wish I left more growing in the garden. next time im going to keep the brocolli and celantro going and any other cold weather veggies going for as long as possible. I stopped planting when I thought the cold would comeand kill but I should not have.

I'd love to hear more about celeriac and how to use it... what parts are edible, etc..

@jsbattlenet Boston is amazingly mild this year too. Have lettuce, sage, and beets still growing strong outside. They are covered for some protection, but no hard freezes yet.
