Bee balm (Monarda fistulosa)and Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) are NOT the same plant. They have very few herbal properties that are the same.

i have a lemon balm that does not have the smell of anything (including lemon) when it is crushed.What type of lemon balm is it?

1. Lemon Balm seeds need light to germinate, thus place them on the soil and do not cover them, just push them in slightly. 2. Lemon Balm seed will not germinate when the soil gets dry, keep the soil moist at all times, or use a plastic cover but keep out of the direct sun in that case or they'll fry :)
