I have Mayapples in an old wagon train trail that runs through my property. I'm having a violet invasion also. I thought they were cute and let just a few go not realizing that they would take over. I like them, but they hide the other things. I cannot seem to grow lupines. I start them in my little shed window, they come back in the spring, but they don't thrive It is really dry here in most places. I wish they self seeded for me. They are a beautiful flower.

I love your garden tours! The sound of the birds is just incredible. What a lovely property you have. And you know ALL the names of your plants! Very impressive!

Hi Lark,
I was tagged by another YouTube gardener to post a video answering 10 questions about my gardening history. I just did that -- and in it, I said that I would like it if YOU would answer those 10 questions, too, in a video that you make. These questions have been passed around YouTube as a "Garden Allotment Tag", so I bet it started in Europe somewhere. Your gardens are so interesting and you know so much about different plants, that I bet your answers would be interesting to a lot of folks! Thanks, -- Chris at Haphazard Homestead, your "garden neighbor" from afar! ; ) -
Always enjoy your garden tours, Lark and watch them more than once.

Love your tour and your chop and drop method is wonderful. I am doing a little more of that. Love the sound of all your wild life. Take Care, Peaches

What a nice tour! You have such a diversity of plants in your perennial beds, with the native plants, too! I really like seeing your big patches of mayapples. I wonder if you get much fruit -- it is really wonderful, but the flower is pollinated by only one special moth. I'm happy you are eating your dandelions and violets! And it was nice to see the sweet cicely, ostrich fern, and bloody dock. And last, but not least, what a great backdrop of spring bird activity -- sandhill cranes, house wrens, cardinals, blue jays, red-bellied woodpeckers, and more! Have a wonderful spring!

I like your "lasagna method" and the terminology "chop and drop"; how do you think that affects or influences how your garden may be evolving into more of a permaculture style as you mentioned earlier in the video? It is certainly a very intriguing mulching method that I am interested to experiment with this season. Thank you for your uploads, always great content; your garden is beautiful.

Thank you for this video! I used to live in Wisconsin and seeing your garden reminds me of being there.

Gorgeous flowers and the whole area is beautiful. You can tell that it took years of TLC to put that together.....well done!

Always a big fan of your calm , soothing garden walk, thank you Lark😊😊!

Thank you Lark! I always enjoy your tours. I thought the video quality was excellent, very crisp. I especially enjoy the songbirds and the sandhill crane, it sounds like a bugle! So cool! Your trilliums are breathtaking, they remind me of the woods in ohio where i grew up. We had the same kind of purple and white violets also. Have you ever made violet jelly? Seems to me it would be a lot of work, but i do put the flowers and leaves in herbal tea or syrup to mix with lemon.
