Feral Hogs in North Texas - A Growing Urban Issue
Tips, Tricks
Feral Hogs have become a big problem across the nation, as they are considered an exotic invasive species. Wild Pig populations have grown considerably over the last ten years, and we are now seeing their presence, and destruction, in urban environments. This video explores the urban feral hog issue in North Central Texas. Produced by the North Central Texas Council of Governments in cooperation with the Texas Parks and Wildlife department for the October 24, 2013 North Texas Regional Feral Hog Forum.

They came over the line into New Mexico from Texas. The Game & Fish dept declared a 365 day open season with no license required. Texas requires a license. Now they are no longer considered a problem in New Mexico. I believe Texas is more interested in selling licenses than getting rid of hogs. Texas ranchers are selling hunting rights. I have never paid anyone to hunt them in New Mexico. They just want to confirm that I know the difference between a cow and a hog. They usually ask me to stop by on the way out and let them know how many I shot. No problem.

the growing urban areas are the issue. You can't expect animals to vacate certain areas they lived in or passed through for generations.

if all the ranchers weren't dicks. I'd be hunting everyday. like this pos ranch beside me buying the land I used to hunt and fish on. tons of hogs and deer. and all they put on it was about 6 cows and game animals. they already have miles of property. greedy fucks

bunch of bs. Im in the country all the time and don't see no hogs. have they not figured out that hogs move a lot and they only stay in one place when there's food and water such as crops wheat, oats and other stuff. I'm trying to find a place to hunt and I can't find nothing. people keep saying Texas is full of hogs tearing stuff up. and everyone I ask...its always.. well I don't see any on my place or some excuse. there is not a hog problem or people wouldn't make u pay to hunt the son bitches

.. they said huge problem.. but every where in TX you go hunting.. they charge you tons of money to hunt them.
-
I said kill them all like shooting these on hunting season or bait them to alligator trap and watch how gator or crocodile take them out. Or watch Texas Cougar hunt them down.

The problem are not the hogs, the Problem is that we are not living with the land anymore.
we humans, the ultimate Apex predator, are sitting in rooms and watching Video. So he is not doing his Job, too be a predator. (Beside this; eis there the possibility that we humans are an exotic invasive species in america?)
The Job to be a predator is a 24 hour Job, not what we call now a day a Job. As Long as we not accept the implementation of the predator Job in our culture, we can not solve this Problem without the help from outside.
So why not let those Boys and Girls solve the Problem for us, that are willing to do the Job as a predator 24 hours a day: Lions, Tigers, Leoprads Wolves, Cougars? -
Not sure how northern wolves would do in the heat of the southern states, or if hunters would leave them alone or, but I wonder if relocating some of the overwhelming wolf population of Western Canada into some of these areas would work. Wolves along with cougars are wild hogs only real north American predators. Wolves would take them out. KNow this would be a problem with ranchers but maybe not as much as hogs.

One note of correction : The most abundant, widely spread and destructive invasive species stands on two legs....
-
They are not supposed to be there anyway! Irradicate them or they will screw up your ecosystem. Eat them too.
