Exterior Design – 6 Tips For A Weekend Balcony Makeover
Tips, Tricks
See how H&H stylist Reiko Caron turned a small condo balcony into a summer hot spot. Get her expert tips on decorating a tiny concrete space on a budget with these six easy steps! Reiko used low, streamlined furniture to keep the balcony looking spacious. Double-duty pieces were also key, such as cube tables that double as seats or even ice buckets once flipped over, and a deck box for storage that doubles as a side table. Wood tiles for the floor, an outdoor rug and tons of colourful cushions cosy up the space. Tall plants add privacy while an elevated patio umbrella provides shade without taking up too much room. Reiko also suggests adding backyard elements like a blow-up pool for kids or a mod outdoor fireplace; these additional touches can make your small balcony a great spot for entertaining.
