It’s time for dig up, inspect and store our Elephant Ears. After a major frost all the leaves dropped to the ground letting us know it’s time to harvest them. Once out of the ground we’ll carefully inspect each bulb to make sure it’s completely healthy and store them in a cool, dry, and dark area. We’ll also be harvesting our Gladioli corms and new baby cormlets and inspecting them for any possible weak or diseased areas.

elephant ears are so pretty looking I like how big thay grow did not know that thay needed to be dug up in the winter is that only because of where you live
If you don't use the bulb, you can eat them. Lots of ways to use them. I've never heard the term elephant ears, but growing up in Hawai'i they're known as Kalo. They probably do a lot of growing bulb wise because that's the part that's supposed to be eaten! :)
I love the Gladys. I don't have any in my garden but will get some in the near future. We are having that kind of weather already, very hot one day and cooler for a couple of days and then hot again....

Our glads only bloomed just bloomed a little bit. What did bloom were so beautiful. The colors were so dark and rich. Can't wait until next year to see the blooms again. What a beautiful miracle!
Our Elephant Ears didn't do well above the soil, but they did lots of growing bulb wise. I am hoping next year there will be some big leaves to look at.
