best way to sprout any beans..firstly wash the beans thoroughly, soak it for a while, then take a cheese cloth dampen it with water, drain the beans, then put it into the damp cheese cloth, then into pan and cover it with a lid, keep it in a dark place, preferably a microwave. after the first day open to see if the cheese cloth is drying up, if so sprinkle some water. it takes about 2 days for it to sprout. this the best way for sprouting any beans. there are numerous ways to do it.

I soaked my mung beans for 8 hours, rinse them and put them in the strainer (not touching water in the bowl beneath) for 8 hours. Most of them look great with a little tail forming, but some of them have a black spot on them! :( Is this normal?
