Why not leave the dead weeds as a mulch layer?
what if weeds are in the grass?
I like the organic idea, but with a light rain or heavy dew it will activate the vinegar and hurt your worm population.

We mulch our garden with a thick layer of paper or cardboard and then either hay or wood chips. It all decomposes and adds nutrients back to the soil. I may need to use this on the terrible crawling grasses I have around my garden. Those buggers need to get out! Lol
