The Eartbox uses fertilizer as a strip down the middle, not mixed in. And, it uses potting mix, not soil. The two are very different. I have Earthboxes, and if you do exactly what the directions state, your plants will get HUGE! This guy needs to read the directions again.

You are telling people to mix the fertilizer into the mix. This goes against Earthbox directions. The fertilizer is supposed to be placed in a srtip across the top and covered with mix.
