Don't Starve 2016 guide with some hopefully useful advice for achieving a good run in the Don't Starve base game.I hope you learn something, thanks for the view! Some additional notes: - Try to build you're base adjacent to pig kings, caves, swamps, and dessert biomes due to their unmovable resources (reeds, tumble-weeds, gold-farming etc..) Prioritise these over rabbits - Although beefalo are good for taking care hounds earlier on, try using toothtraps/other methods past day 100 if you can't balance the attacks between different heards. They're tough, but don't to push the limit. - Rabbits can be a waste of time later on if you're not struggling for food (after you make the prestihatitator). Maintaining them is very time heavy, berry bushes and meat drops from fights can be utilised more efficiently through the bird cage and crock-pot. As my advice, hunting rabbits it pretty inefficient compared to farming spiders and yeilds less food. Setup farms and make meat racks and you will have a huge stock of food for your first winter. This approach allows you to be full on hunger and free to do something else. Hunting rabbits all day will barely keep you alive and you will be doing this all day l, all winter.

You should build a base about a biome from beefalo to avoid aggression during winter.

Thanks not a whole lot of the guides on basic don't starve are updated.

Rather than insisting on a beefalo base, how about learning to kite the hounds? No shade, I just don't think a beefalo base is worth your while when you could just as quickly kite and hill the hounds.

Pretty good but if you build a base to close to the befalo on day 14 when they breed they will attack you and you will have to stay out of your base if you are not prepared but yea one of the best guides I have seen good job

Monster meat + Bird in birdcage = Eggs. If you cook the eggs and feed to it to the Bird you get.... FRESH EGGS! It is indefinite!

I recommend to settle nearby glommer's statue, pig king and cave entrance. All 3 will be be found next to each other.

Blue Caps are actually way better than green caps. If you follow a ratio of eating 2 cooked for every raw blue cap you will actually get a net gain in all stats.
