Does size matter? Growing tomatoes and making your own compost
Tips, Tricks
Last summer we did a pretty controlled experiment where we planted the same tomato plant in three different containers - a Home Depot bucket, a 16" pot and a 21" pot and then kept track of how many tomatoes we got from each, being careful to make sure each plant got the same sun and water. The results were pretty amazing. I can't help but wonder if you put the same amount of your compost in each pot. Obviously not the same amount of soil. Just asking. You may have put more compost in the larger pot.
