DIY-BEST Biodegradable newspaper pots, plant seeds or cuttings, MONEY MAKING IDEA
Tips, Tricks
HOW TO MAKE NEWSPAPER POTS, AND MAKE MONEY WITH AN ANNUAL PLANT SALE! It’s time to start seedlings or cuttings! This is how I make quick and easy pots to start indoor seeds and cuttings. When my children were young, every spring we would start thousands of plants for our local flea market. It was a great way for them to earn some extra money, and they would make up to $300.00 a day!!! (And because we needed thousands of pots, we devised this fast production line!) People love to find a deal on perennials, and we have lots of them growing out in the yard, so it was a great way to make some extra money. And perennials grow back every year, and they multiply, so it’s a goldmine right outside your door! They sometimes did it on our own property as well, at the end of the driveway, as “yard sales”, and had good success in that as well! We did Hostas, Bleeding Heart, Decorative Grasses, Phlox, Dianthus, Day Lillies and even Chives, and Perennial Onions, anything that grew back on it’s own year after year. So if you are looking to make some extra money, and you have perennials growing on your property, here’s a way to make some extra cash! (If you don’t have perennials, plant some this year, and you will be ready for next year!) If you don’t have flea markets in your area, post an ad in your local newspaper as a “yard sale”, or “garage sale” and people will come flocking to your yard for your “Annual Plant Sale”! (People came back weeks later, knocking on the door, wanting to buy more!) Great biodegradable and yes extra cash! We need to stop using plastic.
I am thinking we can also use card board to make bigger planters.

Take a 3" long piece of 2" PVC...(both ends are open) Cut your newspaper 3" x 6" . Wrap the paper length wise around the PVC, wet the bottom and fold, it just like you see in this video. Before you pull the PVC pipe out..fill it with your potting soil. Use the handle end of a screw driver and pack (gently) the soil down..then pull the pvc pipe out.

Hi, I made some of these for some plants I got by post but hadn't enough pots for. They are great. The plants have been in them for a week and are happily growing more roots before we move them. Thanks for sharing.

Do you think you could put this in a pot of dirt for indoor plants or not a good idea?

Excellent method. I'm going to use this utilizing an old roll of lining wallpaper I have here. Thanks for the video. I can make pots deep enough for my pole beans roots now :)

Thanks Emi! I almost bought one of these $20 wooden tools for making these I'm glad I waited, this will be perfect for out Girl Scouts who are fixing up a walking path in our town. They are planting seeds in paper cuts to get them started but this is so much better! Great share!
