Diablo 3 - Monk Tank (Submission) - Act 3 Inferno Farming Guide - Solo Cydaea & Azmodan - 1.0.4
Tips, Tricks
http://www.MetalMusicMan.com 11:45 - Kolby Tackett is a glorious human being. My Profile: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Zerabitu-1799/hero/1848866 Here's how a tankier Monk build stacks up in Act 3 after 1.0.4-- since things are a bit easier now, I went with a more damage-oriented tank build in this video. The extra-defensive builds will net you even more survivability than they previously did, but it isn't quite as necessary now unless you are under-geared. This tank build runs Mantra of Conviction with Submission in order to stack passive, constant damage with Sweeping Wind while you're tanking enemies. I'm currently working on a street fighter monk with two fist weapons. Here are the current stats: DSP: 18500 HP: 45000 (511000 EHP) ARM: 4300 RES: 800 And the fun part, i got so far 1750 hp life per sec and 3600 hp life on hit per sec (per mob). I'm still trying to increase both without loosing other stats but my current build already tanks like crazy. I was testing it on act 1 inferno and could keep fighting everywhere, even in arcane lasers while everyone was running away i keep fighting :P

Yea thanks! I changed my offhand to a shield and some other stuff and get around 600 life on hit + 3%life steal and 600 life reg. Now its just fine! Have a nice day sir!

thanks for informing me. tried fists of thunder again and im starting to love it. going to try crippling wave too
-
The animation is too slow and locks you in, which can be fatal. Also, the damage (despite being listed as higher), actually usually ends up being quite a bit lower-- again, due to the slow animation.
-
just found your vids recently and was wondering why no one decides to use way of the hundred fists? i found it to be pretty useful but i could be wrong
-
You definitely want over (or at least near) 1,000 of each. That will help a lot.
-
things changed today morning, now i have 43k dps , still 750 rs and 37k hp - still diesnt work. 5,5k armor, life on hit and life per second is pretty low, only a few hundred for both
-
How much armor, life on hit, and life per second do you have?
-
please help! I have 35k dps(unbuffed) 750 all res, 40k hp, i use the same skills u do, and i dont even stand a chance in act3. whats wrong with me?!

Last death actIV Hell, lvl 58, much more offensive build, in a way, about 23k HP, using a 2hander, with Resolve, Concussive on Crippling Wave, and Mantra of Healing with 20% more ressist, and Templar with the HPS ability. I begin actIV, fight Iskatu, and he just rapes me.

Man... I've been diehard Monk (literally) and have died 3 times on high lvl Monk. And I honestly do not understand how I have died. Watching ur vids, it seems like my stats for where I was should have been more than enough. First death was... well just to a really tough pack.. anyway 2nd death at lvl 57, act2hell I had 50k HP, sporting a shield, and full dodge defensive build, died to a horde/waller/extra health pack. I had like 69% dodge.

That's not a bad idea-- Ghom was nurfed a bit in the last patch so he's not so hard anymore, but he's still one of the harder bosses.
-
much better to stack poison or lightning because they are cheapest
-
I stack fire with my all res.
-
so what res do u stack, and do u stack it with all?
-
great vid!

I think helm of command not needed too much, i today soloed diablo inferno, with only 17k dps - 800 resilence - 2k life on hit :) Without shield, because i use dual wield 1h!
