do i have to be in adventure mode?

do i have to do it on story mode? or can i get this drop from adventure mode?

For those of you who wanted an update, I just got it on my 8th run. 6 were successful Caverns of Frost, all 6 spawned (level 2). My the RNG gods be smiling down upon you all, I feel kinda lucky judging by some comments :)

Since the gemstone is a white item, can/does the goblin from Puzzle Ring pick it up? >.<

I have done this at least 80 fucking times just trying to get that damn staff. And I fucking can't.

Ran this about 6 or 7 times today - Caverns of Frost appeared for all but one run. Chiltara was there each time for me and dropped the stone on the final try. Was pretty worried after reading some complaints on forums about absurdly low drop rates etc... guess I was lucky.

Does it matter if you have a follower with you

i have been farming it for 2 weeks no drop yet i even used BOT to farm it while am asleep .... .'

I farmed 4 day´s and my premade droped it :( so gl at farming

farming it 2 days about 10 hours 1 time spawned and didn't droped, let try again :D

Just killed her after 3 hours of farming... no drop.

I'd like to share a fact here. It doesn't have a 100% drop rate of the gemstone. It does however have a high drop rate for it. I finally found him after 50+ searches and he did not drop the gemstone. I do know he does drop it, it's just not a 100% chance of it but still it has a really high drop rate.

Sadly this advice is not 100% true. Chiltara - yes. This item does not have a 100% drop chance off this mob, regardless of follower or not, treasure chest or not. It is random.

okay I know this is gonna sound dumb, I didn't believe the whole don't pick up anything and kill all the mobs whatever. I tried it and chiltara finally was there... It was probably just lucky that it was there but it was true.. Oh well finally thank god after a couple hours

After watching the video, did it first time!!

I'm sure this is irrelevant but I killed EVERYTHING and didn't loot a single thing leading up to her except unavoidable potions. Just seems like something I did on that pass through clicked. Worth a shot. I'm trying the strategy again shortly and will see if it works. Also it seems the cavern was 50% of the time located at the lower left location. Act 3 siegebreaker
