I really like the ending where you show the different plants and name them because so many plants that you grow, I have never heard of before. I purchased the seeds so it is good to see what they are going to look like. Thanks.

Wow Patrick great winter harvest and those dishes look superb can't wait to make some of them! :)

I feel you have the best gardening channel on here. Maybe it is because I grow the same way. Except for greenhouse. I will be building me one this year. That is my goal for 2016. I never set goals so this will be my 1st. Thanks for the info.

Look at you - showing off your outstanding harvest. Well done! I like the recipes you included. I'll be making the Santa Fe salad. Side note, do you notice less pests in the hoop house compared to regular outside growing? Great thanks for sharing your recipes and harvest.

Thank you for the great list here. I am working on my goal of adding more varieties ;)

Thank you!!

Thank you for links to recipes and lists of plants!!
Also, can I ask where you get seed for the comfrey that you use as mulch and compost?
Thank you for all the wonderful information! -
Thanks for sharing the progress of your green house. I stopped using ours during the winter when the cost to heat it became too high a few years ago. I'm in central Indiana and it doesn't get as cold here as in Chicago. I'm definitely going to try to grow some greens this winter. Thanks again! Rick

HAPPY NEWYEARS.

Awesome to see you still harvesting so late in the year Patrick. It looks to be growing just as well as your outside summer patch in the hoop house.
Think I'll be having sag halloumi for dinner tonight after watching the clip :-D
Off to the next one now :) -
Yep love this one too. Love the recipes part. I'm so glad I'm part of movement of people growing their own food. Here's to less time in the grocery store!

What a wonderful and informative video!! It's "easy" (being sarcastic) to grow the crops but now what to do with the bounty!? thank you for the recipes. We just ate Farro with arugula, nuts etc and it was a great meal for tonight, and after the holidays with sometimes rich cooking.

Great harvest! Happy New Year!!

For every expected severe cold spell I go out to the cold frames and harvest everything I can, and I'm amazed that I have not lost a single plant under only one layer of protection so far. I'm usually happy to put my garden to bed for the winter and move on to other work that I can do inside where it is toasty and warm, but I'm finding that growing in the cold frames requires very very little of my attention. And I feel very fortunate that I continue to enjoy great salads that I would normally be missing by now. My big questions are how long will my plants tolerate temperatures in the cold frame below 32°, and how much additional warmth can I expect to add with a low tunnel over the cold frames? Thank you so much, Patrick, for sharing your gardening knowledge and experience. My seed catalogs have arrived and I'm excited to start my 2016 gardening journey. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I wonder if you could address the issue of bugs in your tunnels and new hoop house. I live in Phila, Pa and we only got 2 light freezes so far this year and my plants are covered with 3 different species of aphids, cabbage worms, white flies, and now slugs. I only have light plastic covering the plants because I was just experimenting this year. I had window boxes outside which I put under plastic and they are all eaten up.
Some things like claytonia are not affected, but arugula, and any member of the brassica family are most attacked . My chard is being eaten by slugs. Do you have any problem with mildew on kale leaves? my unprotected plants have a lot of it.Even so, my garden this winter has fed me greens twice a day and I'm so happy to have it!
