2 days in a wet paper towel in baggie worked well for me, I grew hermies and that's what I'm growing seeds from, day one and they're up and growing! Just hoping for girls, waiting on fem seeds to arrive. Good luck!

Good lord dude... It PAINS me to watch you fuck with those poor seeds so much. They are SOAKING wet and look nasty. You put a few in a paper towel and spray them with enough water to germinate, then DONE. that's IT

stop giving him a hard time,,lets just give him better info,so he can learn an go forward ,,,To the guy who posted this,,the paper towel thing does work ,,I use small jiffy boxes very cheap, 4.37 cents,,take the jiffy Pete moss pellet an wet them until they are 1-1/12 inches tall,,plant your seeds 4 mm deep so not deep,,,the Pete moss should be damps but not soaked wet,,place the lid on it an put it some place warm,,light is not needed at this point,,but many do use a small light to give some warmth,,think spring time a incandescent or small cork screw florescent will do just fine,,,,after the seeds sprout prop the dome up a little bit,,until they all come up,, I have a near perfect success rate I keep my germination box on top of my lighting system so mine do not get to warm or direct light,,just need to be warm an wet to do there thing,,,,,leave them in the box with a dome for 7-10 days then put them in direct light,,we call it hardening a plant off get him use to the light you want strong roots first ,,the one you have in the cup growing so fast,,is a result of poor lighting,,they will head for warmth an light,,you want a florescent on them 3-4 inches away,,they are not hot but do just fine for young plant in the veg state,,an do not water at the base of your plant you will or can cause the stalk to rot off,,water the out side of the cup so the roots have to go towards the water,,,if your plant gets to tall an has weak stalk will break over or have to be tied up,,,after you get them a foot tall get a bulb for your unit ,,it is florescent but it is called full spectrum,,is close as it gets to real sun light,,,,have fun man

how long do I keep my light on the plant after it sprouts ? lighting schedule?

If you want a true 100% success rate with germination, you have to do the water-cup method first, then the wet napkin method, followed by planting, the water cup method is easy just let them soak submerged in water for 2 days, then an extra day in the damp napkin inside a plastic sandwich baggie & bingo 100% success, check out my "how to germinate" video

Ok u need to get a paper towel place ur seeds in it get wet with regular tap water preferably well water fold paper towel over seeds put in Ziploc bag get as much air out of it as u can then put in warm dark spot and ur seeds will sprout much faster and more often.
-
The point of the towel is too make the seed feel like it's underground, there should be zero light, and DAMP conditions. The reason your seeds are all fat and barely hatched is because the taproot feels/sense/absorbs water through its protective shell. It grows and SEEKS more water to drink up. If it's laying in a puddle of water, the taproot doesn't need to stretch or do anything to get more!
I bet if you were to switch to a MOIST towel it will either kick your taproot into speed or shock it. Lol GOOD LUCK! -
I grew mine in a red cup like that I was glad mine was getting taller and I dropped the cup out my window knocking my baby out I planted it back in is my plant dead now

Anybody: after germination and planting the seeds into the soil, do they need sun or a light source? I planted my germinated seeds into the soil I had prepared already but I kept it in a somewhat dark room and out from direct sunlight or a light source and it's been around 2 weeks already but there's no signs of growth. Please help!

Your E Kush seeds are swimming in water, maybe use a little less, and cover the containers so no light gets in.
-
I soak my seeds in a coffee cup covered so no lite gets in for 48 hours then I put em in a paper towel to finished germinating and usually all the seeds pop n root
